- to identify the passage of time and compare the length of time of different historical periods
- Other objectives & uses:
- to recognize that these periods may overlap and exist alonside each other in different places
- to identify the Ice Age
- to recognize 1 AD (CE)
- to identify the date of U.S. Independence and the year 2010 AD
- Advantages of this Timeline:
- easily edited using standard keyboard strokes
