- 1850 -Abraham and Sarah arrive in Canaan
- 1290 - Moses leads the Israelites out of Canaan
- 1250 - Joshua invades Canaan
- 1000 - David unites the tribes forming the nation of Israel
- 922 - Kingdom divides into Israel and Judah
- 721 - Assyrians conquer Israel
- 587 - Babylonians defeat Jerusalem and send the people of Judah into Israel
- 538 - King Cyrus of Persia frees the Jews and allows them to return to their homeland
- 332 - The Greeks led by Alexander the Great conquer the Holy Land
- 166 - The Maccabees ( a Jewish family) lead a revolt against Greek rulers
- 63 - Roman forces occupy Palestine
- 5 - Jesus is born
